House of Hyphens, 2020

This house concept is enclosed by post-tensioned, cast-on-groundtilt-up concrete walls and connected by large steel-embeds placed into the slope of a built-up hill.

This collection of concepts are joined together in the tradition of the joined hyphen, wherein two words are merged to create a meaning that does not exist in the language already; the individual words maintain their definition but lose their autonomy - a true “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts” situation.
